Jesus spoke many times throughout the Gospels about how important it is to help those in need. While we know we cannot meet all the needs in our community, the Local Outreach ministry is committed to exemplifying the abundant grace and love we have been given. We hope that by demonstrating the ridiculous love of God to people in our community, everyone involved will be drawn closer to Him.

2024 Ministry Partner: WASHINGTON STREET MISSION

Join us in 2024 as we partner with this organization to support and serve in Springfield.

We are commited to raising funds and supporting the mission of reaching Gods people.

The Mission has served Springfield’s homeless and impoverished for over 110 years. Every day between 150 and 200 individuals come through our doors seeking daytime shelter and searching for connection. We show them love by providing coffee, laundry, clothing, and hot showers. Through partnerships with local churches and businesses, we provide opportunities for the community to engage in programs that address barriers impacting those visiting the Mission.
 Our vision is to address our community members' mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.We believe that by showing the love of God, we can build a platform to project the gospel.We long for our community members to see the healing that God can provide for their addictions and past trauma so that they can have the opportunity to move forward in their lives, careers, and relationships.
