Easter Week @ Sherman Naz

March 29 - April 5

Join us as we remember Christ's death and celebrate his resurrection this week at Sherman Naz! We are offering daily devotions and a couple of services planned to help center your heart for Easter Sunday.

Palm Sunday

March 29

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week; the final days of Jesus’ life leading to the cross and the empty tomb. It remembers the day Jesus entered Jerusalem as crowds welcomed Him like a king, hopeful for deliverance. But the week ahead revealed that His kingdom was different from what they expected.

Palm Sunday invites us to examine our own expectations. Do we follow Jesus for our idea of victory, or are we willing to trust Him on the road that leads through sacrifice? It is where we begin the journey toward Easter and the resurrection, and we’re so glad you’re here to walk it with us.

Service Time: 10: 40 AM

What to Expect:

  • A timely message on the Kingship of Christ and his arrival in Jerusalem and what that means for us today

  • Worship that leads us in Rejoicing the King (we will even have palm branches to wave together)

  • Communion will give us space to remember the sacrifice and love of Jesus for all of his followers.

Daily Holy Week Devotionals

March 29 - April 5

Holy Week invites us to walk with Jesus through the events in the final week of his earthly ministry, from his triumphal entry on Palm Sunday to his crucifixion on Good Friday. It is a week of surrender and remembrance that leads us from celebration to mourning, and finally, to resurrection hope on Easter Sunday.

We’ve created daily devotionals during Holy Week to help you enter the story.

Good Friday Community Service

April 3

In His final days on earth, Jesus said, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” Matthew 26:38 (NLT). Good Friday is a sacred opportunity to pause, pray, and remember Jesus’ death on the cross. We will partner with the other local congregations in Sherman and Williamsville for a joint community Good Friday service. This service will be held at Williamsville Christian Church. Come and join us as we remember the sacrifice that Christ made upon the cross together as a local community.

Service Time: 6:30pm

Easter @ Sherman Naz

April 5

Easter is the day we celebrate the most life-changing moment in history: Jesus’ victory over death. Through his resurrection, the power of sin was broken, and forgiveness was made possible. And yet, even as we celebrate what Jesus has done, we know the world is still not the way it should be. We still experience loss, injustice, pain, and brokenness. Easter reminds us that because Jesus rose from the dead, hope is real now, and it also points us forward to the day when he will return and make everything new.

This Easter, we invite you to gather with us as we celebrate the risen Jesus: the one who came, who lives, and who is coming again. Come and remember. Come and celebrate. Come and worship.

Come and join us in praying, Come, Lord Jesus.
